Aivon Oy offers cryogenic sensors and low noise readout electronics for ultra sensitive measurements. Our product range include cryogenic thermometers based on Coulomb Blockade and superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) for measurements of tiny magnetic fields or electric currents. We also design, assemble and test customized low-noise readout electronics and other mechanical parts for the sensors.
Aivon Oy is one of the leading providers of SQUID sensors. Our SQUIDs are widely used in medical imaging. They are operated at cryogenic temperatures below 10 Kelvin achievable by liquid helium or modern cryocoolers and cryostats.
We offer patented Coulomb Blockade Thermometer (CBT) sensors for primary temperature measurements below 1 Kelvin. CBT’s do not need calibration and tolerate high magnetic fields up to several tens of Teslas.
Aivon has experience in designing and manufacturing electronics units for demanding applications such as readout of multichannel superconducting detectors (see e.g. here ). We do both analog low noise, and digital electronics including FPGA and real-time systems. We are currently participating in several projects (EU-wide and national) with contributions in mask, schematic, layout and mechanical design, manufacturing as well as programming.
